Herbal Phentermine is an oral supplement marketed for weight loss. It claims that it is able to use over the counter herbal ingredients in order to replicate the effects of Phentermine, a weight loss drug that is available only by prescription.
It should be noted that Herbal Phentermine does not contain any of the prescription weight loss drug, regardless of what the name may suggest. Instead, its formula is a combination of herbs and amino acids that are meant to produce a similar appetite suppression effect to its prescription strength counterpart.
Among the large number of claims made by the manufacturers of Herbal Phentermine are that it has all of the desirable effects of using the prescription drug, but none of the negative side effects or risk of withdrawal symptoms. At the same time, though, they cited no studies or clinical research to back up those promises, and none could be found through general searching at the time of this review. Furthermore, though the manufacturers do say that a user of this product will lose weight, they don’t make any statements regarding how much weight may be lost. They say that it will increase the user’s heart rate and metabolism.
Among the primary ingredients in Herbal Phentermine are green tea extract, black pepper extract, and biotin, among others. Green tea and black pepper extract both have some clinical support regarding the weight loss claims, provided that they are used in large enough quantities. They can help to provide a temporary metabolism boost so that calories are burned more quickly. Biotin, on the other hand, is a form of protein supplement that is usually used for strengthening hair and nails. However, according to the manufacturers of this product, it can also help to speed up the process of losing weight. There were no studies cited to back up this claim, nor could any be found at the time of this review.
The basic science behind the formula for Herbal Phentermine appears to be a foundation of a few amino acids as well as a couple of metabolism boosters that are proven as long as they are used in high doses. Essentially, the entire formula is thermogenic, meaning that if it does help with weight loss, it’s because it causes the body to increase the speed of its processes so that it generates heat, which burns energy. A one month bottle of the supplement was found for about $60 at the time of this review, but other products from competitors that are based on the same ingredients and results can easily be found at half that price.
